The Ohara company ( http://www.snowcats.com/ ) is based in Japan: they picked up some technologies from old Rolba / Ratrac and LMC. By the way, for the less experts, LMC (Logan Manufacturing Company) was owned by the same prpoprietary of DMC, who manufactured the car "DeLorean", become famous in "Back to the future" movies. How little is the world! About performances, I can't say anything since I never saw one in action. For sure they are NOT designed at Pininfarina!!!-)))

LMC 260 C.... That was the biggest mistake in snowcat history until the Japanese took it and fixed all the hydraulic problems. Good cat for digging out lifts but not pushing. Cfs(cab forward) basically the 3700c with a big forward cab. The steering wheel was cool but the cfs sticks had no intercooler and was very hard to groom with in warm weather. The Gran Field is a pure japanese model friends in Japan ran them. The DeerForte is the 260 LMC revamped.

the best part about the company they wouldent let you in the cat by yourself on the build day they had a representative there the hole time while we were building but in the other cats you just hoped right in and off you whent
