it would fit perfect into all bigger skiresorts, where there is a lot of normal hillgrooming..... (You will allways need smaller machines to do the work around obstackles and lifts) This big machine would probably be able to groom around 50 more than the excisting machines.... That is equal to replaceing three 4,2 meter machines with two 5,6 (or whatever it will be)... Remember that between every lap, there is a loss of groomed surface due the overlap... normally +- 1 meter... 3 x 4,2 machines is equal to 12,6 meter minus 2 metres overlap = 10,6 meter effective groomed surface -> 2 x 5,6 = 11,2 meter minus 1 meter overlap = 10,2 meter effective groomed surface...... Lets say a resort have 10 groomers (4,2 meter) and drive 1800 hours every year.... Replacing 10 4,2 groomers (32 effective meter) with 8 5,6 groomers (36,8 effective meter) will result in 3600 hours less workinghours.... escalate the numbers to fit a bigger resort, and the economic will be obvious!
If reasonable fuel economy is achieved by the Cat engine, this will be a smart way to groom more surface in less machinehours! | Kommentert av: Ole Kristoffer Hole Olsen Dato: 26.03.2009 21.56.11 |
