Kommentar Ole Kristoffer demonstrating how effortlessly the 600 polar destroys a fun park at the end of the season

me like :) This machine will be rebuilt to a Park Bully for the next season :) The world's first 600 Polar Park :) Power and flexibility like nobody else! :) I like your pictures Neil :) More to come from Norefjell?

600 polar park now thats something...

Parkbully pushframes don't like the polar blade...

well.... cant see why... the parkblade is heavier than the polar blade :)

they have almost the same weight, that's not the problem. The amout of snow you're moving with the polar blade is an issue. The quick curl isn't working fast enough. Dry fluffy snow now problem, heavy and wet stuff -the snow you need for building- not good. Sometimes if you have a full blade you can't even lift it up anymore. Maybe if you max up the pressure it's gonna work. Have tried a polar blade on a 300park and a 400park. Wasn't working very well...

well... must say my polarblade worked well enough on the 600 polar in our park last winter, so the blade itself is not the problem... the only thing i struggled with was the limited ergonomic range of the blade on my polar, not the power or anything else.... :) most of the park on norefjell was build in wet snow without any parkmachines.... :) Anyway, I prefer the standard blade without before a parkblade... As a generalt, there is differences in how to use the machine with different attachments, and my polar will work the same way with a parkframe or not. It might not be as perfect as the complete park setup, but buying a new blade is out of the question this time.... :) My biggest problem is that Pisten Bully doesn't want to deliver a PB 600 Polar Park at all..! Not even with a parkblade! So then what to do? We need the power, and we need a parkmachine! Well... then we have to build it ourself :)

Ole: have you ever thought that the park pushframes wants to lift the snow if you lift the blade, and with the polar blade the weight might be to big???? The standard pushframes just makes the blade "slide" straight up! :P

If you have the blade totally filled up with snow, maybe it will be too heavy because the bigger surface on the bigger blade, but in normal use with just a little amount of snow, you will actually have less totalweight on a polar blade then a parkblade, because the extra hydraulic and equipment for the rail-sticks on the parkblade. If you use the quicktilt function at the same time as you lift the blade, you will also simulate the parallell lift on the parkframe. You also have a lot of extra weight on the parkblade because of the extra long solid-steel "fin's" underneath the blade. Anyway, if it (unlikely) will be a problem with weight or bladeradius, we also have a 2005 standard blade from a 300 kandahar, so we can easily do a switchover from machine to machine, and then we have an identical machine to a 600 park, but with a lot more power... :D I am not a fan of the rail sticks or the extra steel-fins on the blade anyway :) The major difference between the parkblade and the polar blade is the wider radius of the curve inside the blade so it is quite "flat" compared to the parkblade. Anyway that is also a constant radius independent of which pushframe you use, so theoretically it will act the same way as before, but maybe not so simple in real life... Another option we have is to continue to use the standard 600 polar in the park without modification. Not a good option!! A 400 park (380HP) or a 600 park (400HP) is considered to be too weak for rest of the steep Norefjell slopes, and since we cant afford to have one machine tied up in the park all the time, a 600 polar park (490HP) is our preffered solution for mixed missions, either with the standard- or polarblade! :)|

Lets see if our expectations are met at Norefjell this winter. Maybe PB will initiate a new 600 polar park model from the next season?

Yeah! just wondered if you had that in mind! Since Flo have tried it before and didn't think it was great I just wondered what could possibly be the thing not working very well! I personally think it's overall a good initiative (even though I think the 600 is to big in the park) I think that the problem most likely may appear when driving uphill with a full blade! Next spring you will know if it is good or bad! But most of us already know the answer i think and you seems to be quite sure that it's phenomenal!

...also have in mind that Flos experience from a 300 park or a 400 park with polarblade is somehow different to a real polar with loads of power, since the polar actually are created to deal with the extra power to push more snow in front than a weak 300 or 400 is capable of :) well... lets try :) As i understood Flos concernings, its all about the blade, and bladeradius, not the rest of the system :)
