testmachine... hope they will cover it up a bit before production... It works, and you get better overview with a open design than you do with a covered version. But I also hope they cover it up a bit.. The design of the machine deserves it !

Thats right, it's an extended Leitwolf-boom : ) Think they should have used the boom from everest, looks cleaner... But easier to extend the boom from Leitwolf...

It looks like a Sherpa or Prinoth 350 winch with a Leitwolf boom to me. Sherpa winches may not be much to look at, but they are good.

I agree with you on your point Sjur! Rather something that works over a nice look! But in 2010 you can hope to have both form and function... Haraldur, I dont see your point! This got nothing to do with not having the understanding.... In 2010 both form and function are important when you launch a new machine !

IN fairness to the point made by Haraldur, I probably dont understand the workings of the system and can only comment on the look. After all, looks sell! If you have a good working design, you can cover it to make it more attractive for selling. They must do this with the machine design??? Once I am working with these more, then maybe I will agree and go for function over looks but surely now as Espen says, you could have both.

When I sit indoors Pb300 is brought up 95.Db.
Is it good design? NO not if the driver is at work on 8 hours

Haraldur... That is why PB have a newer machine... PB300 IS from 95-96 :) hehe.... 600 cant be compared with the 300 at any point... The cabin is way more comfortable at the 600, and you have adjustments in every direction! Same way, you can compare a Lada (300) versus a BMW (600)....

you get? Not miglabreitingu from Pb 170 1984 model year Kassbohrer is built up from the bus construction. but not as work machine.

Haraldur, you don't always need to say (write) what you think! I dont care what machine people are using in other skiresort. The most importent is that i like my machine and i can use it to do what i want with a nice grooming result. Everything can always be better, but if we all always have to buy the newest model to be satisfied, then we have a problem. But it's nice to have dreams. And dreams are importent... I still remember how lucky i was the first day i drive a new PB 170. Was it realy possible to build something better??? Today i know the answer...
