Kommentar Nye Bison vinsj. 4,5 tonn trekkraft. Automatisk trinnløs regulering av trekkraft. Galvanisert wire. Opp til 1200 meter wire. Blir demodag for Norge og Sverige på Oppdal i midten av Februar. Mer info om det kommer fra Owren.

I presume since drum is fixed, you still have to do figures of 8 when winching with Prinoth?

You certainly have to do figures of 8 with the older Sherpa winches.

Here is the answer we got from Dietmar Dorfmann, product manager at Prinoth:
On the new SHERPA (Winch for the Bison and the Beast) the driver has an indicator on the display that shows him in witch direction he should turn.
He also get the information how many times he should turn in a certain direction if he had to turn a few times always in the same direction.
To sum up, there is a direction indicator and a turn calculator.
