Was in Steinplatte several years ago. Remember it as a reasonably small area with a lot of snow. As I remember the locals called it "ein Schneeloch" "snowhole eller snøhøl on standard norwegian. Only place where it was really good snowconditions were at Kaprun and Steinplatte, so the area are hereby recommended to visit.
